A diverted natural stream is now one of the outstanding features of this large cluster of residential land developments for about 150 sections over 12 hectares at 245, 265 and 289 Flat Bush School Rd, Auckland. The rock-lined watercourse – and the associated earthworks, environmental controls, drainage, roading and mass planting – was the focus of our team’s close consultation with Auckland Council throughout the $10 million civil construction project. To maximise the cost-effectiveness for the respective owners, we methodically phased our earthworks and civil works over the three sites with the support of the lead consultant. This comprehensive civil construction contract included earthworks, all civil works, drainage, roading and footpaths, and installation of utility services, landscaping, and street lighting. The result is a series of fine-looking subdivisions that are now in the heart of a vibrant Flat Bush community.
